The presentation [at my son's school] went great! I read the book to the kids... We did a couple of the projects out of the New Year guide. We did the project where they all figured out what animal sign of the zodiac was their's. We read through the traits and discussed whether they matched their personalities or not. We also made New Year Banners out of red paper and the templates included in the guide. We read about the Miao people and the friendship balls. They all seemed quite happy with the gift they received. We also had egg rolls and almond cookies. My son helped make the almond cookies at home the night before. We finished up with fortune cookies. I think the kids really seemed to enjoy the gifts, information and the food!! I had 13 kids grade K-5 at the 'New Year Party'."
